“If you want to run fast, run alone. If you want to run far, run together.”
This quote is something I learned in a past life as a former runner – while it’s something I no longer do physically, running taught me some of the best lessons that have endured throughout my career (which is one full of many hats) – from marketing consultant to Youtube Creator to author, agency owner and now Professor and very proud Director, The University of Texas at Austin.
Nothing extraordinary is achieved alone.
And the secret to a great life isn’t about drinking kombucha and rabbit food…
It’s about connecting on a human level and building strong, trusted, and authentic relationships.
That’s how we succeed – through collaboration, through partnership, through real connection – and that’s the mission behind ‘The Center for Influence’ at the University of Texas: a way to give everyone involved the power of community and the support of influential leaders, aimed to facilitate a new way of thinking about our careers, our businesses and our lives through cross collaboration, multidisciplinary partnerships, and the creation of “networks of influence” in society.
Being featured on this list alongside female business leaders who inspire me is such an honor.
